scanning pictures to send by email

as this is the only way that my sister will see her niece she still wants to be gm but can't come and see her more than once a year

Are you having trouble scanning them or sending them?

i don't know how to scan and send fullstop!

Have you got your scanner linked up to your computer?

Am assumming that you have the scanner linked up and set up to run, mine goes through adobe, I just scan it and it creates a file which I then chose a name for and put it in my adobe pics file, then I send it as an attachment to an email. Hope this is clear.

I think there may be too many variables of scanner and method to be able to tell you on here - unless someone else has the same as you.

Mine doesn't do anything like what rantinghousewife's does (except that once scanned it goes into some file or other and can then be attached to an email)

as for posting them, i have no real guarantee that they will get there. stupid really, isn't it?!

it's a hp deskjet printer, scanner, photocopier 3-in-1 jobbie. it does have a usb thingy linked to pc, so i think i will just have to bite the bullet won't i ?! [nervous emoticon]

it won't send because outlook express no longer allow the use of free hotmail to scan and then send images via email.

are you trying to email directly from your scanner ? if so scan to your documents and then try.

oh thanks ml, i never thought of that, i will try and leave it til tomorrow now, i haven't got any patience left for it now!
