get the cat back and withhold all meowmix privileges until it fixes it

bran · 18/09/2007 20:22

DS did this when he was small by banging on the keyboard, he turn the display through 90 degrees. I had to take it into work with me and ask the IT Crowd very nicely to please fix it. I should have asked what they did.

LazyLinePainterJane · 18/09/2007 20:25

Try the function buttons on the F buttons.

kslatts · 18/09/2007 21:30

Try ctrl+alt+arrow keys

RosaLuxembourg · 18/09/2007 21:32

No idea, but have to tell you it is one of the best thread titles I have read today

popsycal · 18/09/2007 21:34

ok i know this
right mouse click on the desktop......it should say something like graphics or display options then click rotate......

popsycal · 18/09/2007 21:36

or try this:

To reverse the upside down screen mode, press ctrl, alt and the up arrow (arrows console) at the same time; the screen will probably go blank. Turn off the monitor, turn it on again and the display will be normal again

newlifenewname · 18/09/2007 21:37

what popsycal says works I had this the other week

Tottie32 · 18/09/2007 21:37

brill thankyou so much- all sorted....

cat loves the warmth whilst sat on here, she wont be doing it again!!

thanks you have saved my neck

kslatts is right - ctrl-alt-up should turn it right way round again - down is the one that turns it upside down & the left & right turn it 90 degrees left & right.
In case you're wondering, it's so that you can turn the picture to use a monitor portrait style. The kids at school often do this when they are trying to do ctrl-alt-del & miss the delete key. Not that they are supposed to use ctrl-alt -del at school anyway...

Rhubarb · 18/09/2007 21:37

popyscal is right. I used to do this to everyone's pc at work, it was such fun to watch them panic!

Tottie32 · 18/09/2007 21:39

still curious how cat managed to do it if you need to press different keys, i always knew she was special but not a genius

RustyBear · 18/09/2007 21:45

She was probably sitting on ctrl & alt & put a paw on delete. Toddlers do it all the time - this is probably the fourth or fifth thread I've answered on the subject.

SaintGeorge · 18/09/2007 22:11

Tottie's cat

Spidermama · 18/09/2007 22:15

My kittens seem to love to climb on the keyboard. I think they've noticed how I'm regularly focussed on it.

Tottie32 · 19/09/2007 13:00

ha ha love the photo!!!
