Windows 10 and Skype

Hi was wondering if anyone could help/ has any suggestions.

My kids both have laptops with windows 10 home.

They have both downloaded Skype and initially it worked well.

It has now stopped working and the error message is that the internet speed is inadequate (or words to that effect). This is nonsense as I can run skype from apple products , my macbook and iphones etc.

They need to have skype to access education properly so this is hugely frustrating.

I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling etc, but to no avail.

Anyone got any ideas?

Strange it's both laptops. What make/model are they?
Are you able to do an online broadband speed check
Step 1.
It's possible their wifi speed is not up to scratch for some reason. Hopefully the laptops will have lan ports, so temporarily, try using a network cable from router to laptop. This will increase the connection speed.
