I want a trip down memory lane but my new laptop isn't on board! How can I get old games up and running? I'm UTTERLY un-techie, no idea what any online tutorials are talking about. Honestly I might as well be trying to decode Mandarin Chinese. Is anyone out there bored enough to want to talk me through things very slowly and clearly, with frequent repetition, remaining calm and patient throughout? It won't be good for your blood pressure but I would be eternally grateful!!
Right now I'm trying to play 'The Movies'. I'm getting an error message telling me I could be running an old version of Direct X or it may be disabled. Apparently I need to find the directx folder and run the dxsetup.exe file... Yeah, that doesn't mean anything to me!
I have Windows 10, if that makes a difference. Please somebody through me a life ring.
