Music on 11 year old's phone

Dd would like me to buy a pop album, so she can listen to it on her Samsung S9.

If I buy it from my Amazon account, it will appear on my Amazon music app so how can I buy it for her phone?

I'm clueless as to how young people listen to music nowadays.

Spotify app?

From your point of view it might be easiest to email her an Amazon gift card. (In my experience the e-vouchers are more reliable than the physical cards.)

But as dementedpixie has indicated, people don't do so much buying of music nowadays (just as they don't say "buy a pop album") - everything is streamed. So in the long run you might want to consider signing her up for a Spotify account (or whatever is most favoured by pre-teens) if the cost isn't too prohibitive.

Thank you both, both great ideas.

If you buy an album it will normally be downloadable as MP3s from the music app. How you would upload those to her phone woulddependon whether it was an Apple or Android phone.

Sign her up for Spotify or Apple Music so she can just stream the music. There is also a free version of Spotify. And if you have Amazon Prime, you can get some amount of music streaming for free and set up an account for a child where they can't access ordering or content that you deem to be adult, but they can access music and ebooks that you have ordered on your amazon account.

Is she at secondary school? Either way Spotify is the way to go imo.

She's currently Y6.

Phone is Android.
