MacBook Pro not starting up

Hi, I have been given a MacBook Pro to use to work from home. It has a Touch Bar so is a newer model. It has been working fine but now will no longer start up. The last I saw it had 51% charge but I went to plug it in to charge it up today and I can't get it to start up. It does 'bing' when I attach the cable though so it is getting power.

Any ideas of things to try?

You've probably sorted this by now but this might work.
Press the Shift+Control+Option keys at the left side of the keyboard and the Power button, and hold them all down. Release all four buttons at the same time, and then press the Power button to turn the Mac on
