Help! I don’t have the encrypted password to back up and transfer iPad.??

So ds has a broken (ish) iPad mini so instead of buying a new one I thought I’d give him mine and I have his. So I backed them both up to iTunes and wiped mine but I can’t transfer his info as I don’t have the encrypted password and you can’t get a new one! I then tried to back up via iCloud but still doesn’t transfer his info to the wipes ipad?? Anyone help?

How old is ds? Has he forgotten the code? Ask him if he wrote it down.

Without it you cant do anything. The point of a passcode is to not allow anyone else access.
