May I get some help re One Drive please?

I am working for a one man band outfit and use my laptop to work either at home or at his home office.
He keeps files on his business One Drive.

How can he share them with me so that we both have full use of the file and any updates I make, show on both his version and mine?

You need the same business email I believe.

So everyone at my workplace has the the same email and all our one drive documents link and are live.

But you would need [email protected] whilst he has [email protected]. for example.

Anybody can share it doesn't need the same user name

We do both have an e mail address @thecompanyname.

He may be able to share the files with you without you both having an email address in the same domain, I do this all the time with my customer. But as you do, it should be very straight forward.

He can share the folder with you, and when setting up the share he can give you edit rights which the files in the folder would inherit.

You can either install the OneDrive app on your laptop, or you can just use OneDrive in a browser window.
