PAYG mobile for minimal use

Dm mobile number seems to have lapsed as she only uses it very occasionally, ie less than every 3 months, when on holiday or to call a taxi if out. Can anyone recommend a payg sim deal please which has low cost calls, decent coverage, only needs top-up credit as required and can be inserted in unlocked non-smart handset. Confused by all the sim bundles available for £1 as they all seem to focus on data or as a contract. TIA

The O2 Classic PAYG SIM could work. O2 don't sell them any more, but you can still find them on ebay for 99p. Phone 3p/min, texts 2p, data 1p/MB. The Ts&Cs say you just have to send 1 text every 6 months, but I'm pretty sure they don't cut you off after 6 months. Set a reminder in your calendar to send a text, just to be on the safe side.

ASDA do a reasonably priced one that lasts 180 days
