Does google analytics only provide stats when as a result of a search someone clicks to access your website?

So for example if I search for "Sue Barker's fish shop" and a list of results was returned but they did NOT click on any of the links would I get any results and know they searched for me?

No not on analytics. You would on adwords if you were paying for advertising.

Is that Google Ads? Do you pay for this?

Yeah you pay and it's really worth getting a professional to do it as it's an easy way to throw money away!

Fascinating though as you can see all the search terms used.

Search console would also work and that's free.

So search console would record search term impressions even if they did not click on any links? Would it provide demographic info e.g. the location, IP address, gender and age of the person typing the search terms - even if they did not click on any results?
