Which laptop do we need?

Bought our last laptop in 2013 & it's rather on its last legs now. I thought I'd look in the Black Friday sales but, tbh, I don't really know what I'm looking for.

Previous one is an Acer Aspire V5-571p. We'd like something similar, except we don't really use the touchscreen so that's not needed. We're not into gaming - it's mostly used for watching TV & life admin. Our DC do often watch DVDs on it so an in-built DVD player would be preferable.

Any recommendations?

What's your budget?

As little as possible! Not really sure how much we'd need to spend for the sort of thing we want. DH has just informed me that "slightly smaller might be better" so maybe 14" instead of the current 15.6". His only other suggestions were that it should have USB & HDMI ports.

When I say "as little as possible", what I mean is that we don't require anything top-of-the-range. We'd rather something simple & reliable than an all singing, all dancing gaming laptop.
