Chromebook - which one?

Hi there, I am wanting to get my daughter who is in year 9 a chromebook for Christmas to see her through her GCSE s and maybe beyond. It looks like there are quite a few around the £150 mark which is what I am looking to pay. I was just wondering if anyone knows of what specifications I should be looking for and what brands are recommended?I haven't got a clue! so your advice is most welcome
