CDs and Amazon Echo

I have two Amazon Echo devices and me & DP have hundreds of CDs between us. Is there a way I can get the Echo to play my CDs (transfer/rip them across?)? We are coming to the end of a free trial of Amazon Prime Music which has been great but I don't particularly want to pay for it each month, especially when we already have such a large catalogue of music on CD.
My initial thought is that this can't be done but I would love to be proven wrong!!

I think you would need to upload your CDs to computer, iPhone, mp3 player etc then bluetooth the device to Echo to stream your playlists.

I have put a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver into the back of our hi fi. It has an output, so I can now stream cds to our Bluetooth speaker. I can also send music to the hifi which has good speakers, which has been useful.

Ok thanks for the advice. So it's definitely do-able. Part of me hoped I could add them to my Amazon account somehow and then be able to play them. Maybe I'll email Amazon...Wink

I noticed a while ago that for some cds that I bought years ago on amazon I now have access to a digital copy. I have Spotify so it wasn't worth looking into at the time but possibly worth you looking at?

Good thinking Hopeful I'll take a better look at what I do/don't have.

Have a look at this article tht gives you some options

if you have amazon prime you get access to the basic music app via echo, which is mostly older stuff (so suits me Wink) and if you bought new CDs via Amazon you will find that you own a digital copy by checking on your account. Unfortunately it doesn't include any you bought second hand via Amazon.

It depends how techy you are. We have all our CDs ripped to a USB stick attached to a raspberry pi which links via the MyMedia skill on alexa...
