Technology for visually impaired

Hi, I'm trying to help a visually impaired friend and make her home more accessible. I know there's voice activation technology out there, from mobile phones to smart TVs and Alexa etc but don't really know how to get started and don't want to recommended the wrong things. She's also considering Hive heating. Does anybody know of a dummies guide or a service which could help? The RNIB and Guide Dogs websites have helped to a point but the technology seems to be updating quicker than the websites. We don't have any local shops to visit for help. Thank you

A lot of products do have interfaces with Alexa - would suggest reaching out directly to Amazon for their advice.

Find a local dealer who will help. There are so many benefits of this technology for people with sight issues, hearing problems, mobility issues etc
