Have read past threads, still befuzzled..

Ok, so I have an Ipod. I have a PC with music on it. I have Itunes.

I seem to only be able to import music song by song onto my Ipod, and have to create a new playlist for each album. is that right? If so, it is going to take forever surely?

PLEASE help! I usually feel quite technically competant, but right now I feel a right numpty

You should be able to check which songs you want to import fom each disc.
Don't understand why you have to make a new playlist for each album.
I have 4 playlists but almost 1000 songs and that's a lot of albums!
Which iPod do you have?

Thanks for your reply PC, umm, my iPod is white... lol!

I will go and check.

I have been trying to import music using iTunes, and this is where it seems to have to do it song by song, arther than having a huge list I can just tick and copy in one go iyswim?

You need to do 'File' and then 'Add folder to window' rather than 'Add file'. Then you can add all the tracks on an album at once.

I agree that itunes is a total pita though. I got burgled and my laptop got nicked and have found I can't load music from my ipod back onto my new laptop which means I'll have to do all CDs again individually.

Sazzybea - thankyou! I have tried that and am now copying en masse

I will come back here if I get stuck later on, you lot are bl**dy marvellous!

sazzybee, there is an earlier thread on here where someone gave me the link to software you can download so you can put your music from ipod onto a different computer, is well worth doing, will save loads of time
