I have been given my friends old ipod as a present complete with her music, some of which I want , some I dont. Have a million questions re how to use it but think the most pressing is how do I put music from the ipod onto my pc and can I have it so it is saved on pc but delete it from ipod?
thanks

you can't put the mnusic from your ipod onto the pc its a 1 way cable data goes to it not back.

Did she gve you a cd with itunes on? you need that to load music on/take music off the ipod itself

You can take music from the ipod and store it in itunes on your PC but you'll need software called PodUtil. You can download it free off the net.
Then once it's on the PC you can choose what to have on the ipod by checking the songs you want then synching the ipod with itunes.
