How do you download a document from Google classroom to start working on it? DD has clicked the hyperlink to select her homework and the template of her homework appears, but she cannot type on it at all. There isn't anywhere to select a download of the homework neither.

Any ideas?

I think it depends on the format you save it in. This may help:
Google doc

Try to open it in a new window when you right click on the hyperlink. This often gives you a download option in the new window. Top right.
