are there any techies about? is there any reason i can't use my bt wireless router to get online with talk talk?

I have a bt voyager 2500 router that I got rom bt. I switched to talk talk and want to use the same router to get online. when i connect, my computer connects to the network, but the network does not connect to the internet. A really long shot, but can anyone help?

i would assume you need to change the router settings, were u sent anything by talk talk? I think your BT router is still set with BT settings. It will need the talk talk proxy's setting up.

how do i change that?

I think bt disable them so that they are difficult to use for other isps without going inside or there is a bit missing or something..that's the technical explanationm
