No access to Hotmail for DAYS and DAYS.....WHY?????

I've probably got an inbox full of spam emails to delete but I can't access my hotmail account for some reason, even though messenger works fine.

Initially I thought it was because Talk Talk had allocated us another crappy 89. IP address (which never works) but I have just checked and we are currently on an 84. address which is normally ok.....

Does anyone have any ideas before I get really cross and throw my laptop against a wall in frustration ????

TIA

this happened to me earlier this week and when they let me back in again, they had upgraded me to Hotmail Live or something. I think they're changing everyone over to it that didn't opt in last year.

Can't say that this is what is happening to you, but sounds the same. It came back after 2 days I think.

I already use windows live though - I can't even access the network status link to check what is going on

can you access hotmail from another PC ? that will determine if it's your PC/ISP/Other at fault or the hotmail account

I couldn't access hotmail for ages earlier this year, but I clicking on a link - when I typed hotmail.com in the URL box it came up.

This is prob irrelevant but thought I'd mention it anyway

I was clicking...(English is my native tongue, honest)

I'm having hotmail problems too. Looks like their server might've gone kaput.

You might be able to sign up for a gmail account and have the e-mail messages from your hotmail automatically forwarded, assuming that the hotmail server still knows that you've received messages even though it won't let you access them.
