If you've gone from a devoted iOS user to Android...

Did you regret it? Or was it a good move?

I've used iOS since it first came out and am renowned for sticking up for the my beloved iPhone when DP and friends who use android say iPhone is shit. Maybe it is, but I'm a creature of habit and I'm also pretty stubborn.

However, that said, DP's phone (Hauwei something) is rather lovely and takes amazing photos and videos.

My contract is up in 8 weeks and I'm sure I'll continue with iPhone (an X something or other), but I wondered how awful it would be to move over to the dark side? Apart from the 'Told you so' quips from well meaning DP and friends of course.
I am a bit tempted tbh, but I'm not ready to admit that to anyone in real life yet
So I thought I'd ask here

I have an iPhone for work and an Android phone for personal. I will always reach for the Android, as I just it so much more intuitive. Pretty much the only things I use the iPhone for are emails and calls.

But were you a devoted iPhone user before you got an Android?

I love both. I'm a devoted Apple user usually, but some Android phones are just wonderful.

I've got an XS Max; it's overrated, sadly. I'm on my fourth handset and I got it in November. I don't seem to be alone in this!

How would you compare an iPhone Xs with a Hauwei P30 Pro (I think that's the one DP has).

I've barely touched an android to be honest but wondering if a change might do me good, or if I'll regret it. It'll be another 2 year contract so I have to like it.

Actually, I've just found the comparison tool on Carphone Warehouse so I'm having a look at that and just been reminded that Android won't be Apple watch compatible so I guess I'm locked in with iPhone!

I have a friend who was a devoted apple user, she switched to android and regretted it.
I, on the other hand, an not apple orientated and will always be with an android

We currently have iPads, MacBooks and an iMac and I have gone from an iPhone to a Huawei ..absolutely love it

I'm due an upgrade now and really really want a Huawei for the 40mgp camera but I'm a bit worried about all the weird Google banning of Huawei so I'm not sure whether to go for it or not

What do others think? (Sorry for the hijack op, I'm a committed Android user ) but noticed a couple of Huawei owners on the thread!

@heymammy DP has a Hauwei and loves it. If I wasn't so committed to iPhone or have an Apple Watch, I'd get one. The camera is truly remarkable.

I switched from Apple to Samsung and switched back 3 months later. Much prefer my iPhone.

The sales assistant in Carphone Warehouse was telling me how great the Hauwei is, but I don’t want to make an expensive mistake again!
