Hi all

Anyone clued up on iPads and tablets?
Want to get one as only use my phone now and laptop is on the way out. I've always had iPhone and macs but I'm wanting to use Microsoft office now, excel and word to help with my partners books and also I'm going to be helping my sister with her music work so need to use lot of social media, and also for my use for pictures, can I still view iCloud on am android system?

I know I sound dumb but when it comes to tech I am! I try to research it all but with new born baby brain a toddler and a husband to sort out I'm not really able to absorb much inch 🙈 any help you got will be greatfully received!! 'Tia xx

A combo is best - Microsoft Surface Pro is one example. Acts as a tablet but attaches to a keyboard and is a laptop for things like word & excel.

You can use Microsoft excel and word on an iPad if you want to remain in the Apple ecosphere. You just need to pay for a Microsoft Office subscription.

I use Office (well Word and Excel - I still have to use Publisher on my PC) on my iPads just fine. If you buy a keyboard to go along with them - either a separate one or one that forms a case to almost make a mini laptop - they do word processing really decently and the Apple Pencil is a fantastic bit of kit.

Can open and create things on any of the house iPads (have a mix of the basic model and my stupidly expensive Pro ones) and save it into my onedrive and open it and continue on my PC just fine.

You can have a link between your iPhone and a Windows 10 pc/tablet/laptop for iCloud, so all pics get uploaded there. We have a surface pro. It's great but v expensive.
