I really need some help please! I bought DS an iPod 6 and am setting it up for him. Everything is working fine, but now I want to add all of his audio books on to it.
I have a MacBook, an iPad and an iPhone.
My MacBook doesn't have a built in CD drive, but I have an external one. I've never used it with the MacBook but it says it's compatible, plug and play.
I've tried plugging it all in, but it doesn't do anything, iTunes doesn't show a CD being present at all, so there is no CD icon to click on.
I've tried using a 10 yr old windows pc with build in CD player and was able to put some audio books in to iTunes. I also installed iCloud and turned on family sharing. When I sync my iPhone I can then see the audio books as part of a family sharing, rather than in my actual library. Even though it is the same Apple ID signed in to both. Then when I switch the PC off, the sharing library disappears and I can't access the audio books. When I load up the MacBook and log in to the same iTunes account, the audio books are not there.
Help! What do I need to do to have the audio books in my actual library, on my phone, and then what do I do to get them on the iPod? Many thanks
