Can you recommend a printer?

I have an Epson printer. Worst printer ever. It almost never works, for no good reason. There is nothing wrong with it, and after being rebooted a gazzillion times it sometimes works, but often doesn't.

HP Laserjet. Good traditional black toner only laser. You can get a version integrated with a scanner if that's of use.

For colour printing you could use a photo service like SnapFish.

I would recommend a laser printer. While they cost more up front, over time the running costs are less and they are, in my experience, much more reliable than inkjets.

A simple black and white laser from Brother or Samsung will be cheapest to run, but if you want colour there's no reason not to buy a colour laser. The colour print quality is good, but it will not produce glossy photo quality prints.

My current printer is a Brother DCP-L3550CDW which cost about £200 from Printernet. It includes a scanning/photocopying capability and the cartridges will last me at last a year.

Same problem with Epson. Will never buy it again.
Brother Lazer black and white, about £90. Best decision ever.

HP with the instant ink. You can get them now with a few months free. I recently paid £45 for the printer and got 10 months free instant ink which is £7.99 a month so in effect they paid me!!!!!
