My MP3 should play WMA but won't...WHY??

I've a Creative MP3 player that should play both MP3s and WMA. All the stuff I've ripped off CD is ok - but I've bought some tunes from Tescodownloads.com and they are WMA. I've tried converting them but they seems to be protected by something.
Anyone any ideas?

you'll have to check to see if the Creative player plays DRM protected tunes... ...which it may not.. ..or you might have to transfer them across using the Creative software....
