P30 pro no more- what else?

I have been gearing up to get a Huawei p30 pro when my contract expires in the summer and was looking forward to its fab camera and excellent reviews.

However, the Huawei fiasco over the past couple of weeks has put me off. I want a phone with Google apps and YouTube which work properly.

Any other recommendations for good alternatives?

I’m thinking it’s just about trade deals and it will all be sorted soon. Just a big game of chess

I am the same. I have a p20 pro and was looking forward to upgrading, but now I'm not so sure. It is quite hard to understand what's going on but I'm scared to take the chance and lose access to these apps.

I was geared up to buy one this week to replace old iPhone but now won't bother.
Nice man at Carphone warehouse was showing off the Samsung s10+ which was comparable as far as I could tell

I'm currently waiting it out - seems like a pair of overgrown little boys in a willy waving competition at the moment to me. I've got a few months left to run on my contract with my p20 pro and if needs be I'll let the contract run out and just sit on paying the tariff part rather than paying extra to pay off the subsidised phone bit for a few months before going for something new and shiny and see how it settles down.

Once the orange toddler with a nuclear detonation button gets bored and moves onto his next obsession I hope it'll be forgotten rather rapidly.

My contract runs out this week and I'm probably going to risk getting the P30 Pro. The only factor I care about in a phone is quality of camera, and the P30 Pro is just so much better than anything else. It is a risk, but I've read everything I can on recent developments, and I don't think it's a HUGE risk. It would be a bit rubbish to miss out on such a good camera because of the orange water...

I have just ventured over to the dark side and got an iPhone XR. Love it.
