Begging for help before I commit an unnatural act upon my computer involving a bucket of pigswill, a hammer and a nearby river. It's about ad blocking.

I'm very sorry, mumsnet, but all the blinky flashy adverts make my eyes go funny.

I have recently lost my ad blocker [rant deleted due to record-breaking use of the word * * * * *]

Does anyone know of one I can download, preferably for free, as I have spent all my money of wine and chocolate?

Failing that, please lend me a hammer and a bucket of pigswill, the river I can find by myself.

DO you use firefox?

If so, I use adblock plus, which I find works well. Was not aware of such adverts!

Alas, IE not firefox.

The adverts are dreadful, hotmail is the worst (so far.)

Well I have heard that AdMuncher is supposed to be good but from what I know, only the trial version is free, you have to pay for it after that!

Okay, calm down, it's frustrating but easily fixed. Download the Google toolbar www.toolbar.google.com (if that doesn't work just type in google toolbar - location depends on browser type) and install in - turn on the ad blocker. Hurrah!
