3 day gap in broadband provision - how do I manage this?

Techno novice here.
I am changing broadband providers.
One contract ends 3 days before the new one starts.
Can anyone advise me what happens in this scenario or how I can prevent it in the firt place?

If your existing supplier cuts you off immediately at the end of your contract you will be without broadband for 3 days. The only way to change this is to persuade your existing supplier to extend for 3 days or your new supplier to start 3 days early.

If you have a mobile phone contract you could get a mobile dongle to tide you over

Use your smartphone as a hotspot. It’ll kill your data, but you could probably buy more as a one off.

No smartphones or mobile contracts at Wingedharpy towers.
We're 2 old fogies with big button phones and pay as you go.
We do, however, have electric lights and inside toilets.
