Where has my pound sign gone?

Please can you help? My laptop has been converted to Windows XP and the keyboard apparently has been 'Americanised'. I have found most symbols but for the life of me cannot find my pound sign!

here you go. This should solve your problem

Devaluation of the currency is called.

Multiply your pounds by 2 and you will be typing the correct amount in American Dollars.

Alternatively... let me check, I'll be back with the correct answer...

Go to Control Panel/ Regional and Language/..

and select "English [United Kingdom]"
