Mac and Samsung help.

Hello all I'm not sure if this is the right place to post I couldn't find a techie section.

Basically I'm looking into buying a MacBook. I would like to know if I can connect my Samsung s8 to it wirelessly like I can with my HP you know so back up photos messages etc

Also woukd I be able to put my gmail on there to access from an app or are to g rarther than have to go on a webpage. I'm not sure if this makes any sense?! Please help I'm not very good with all this stuff.. I can use them fine once I've been shown how 🤣🤣

You can certainly use your existing gmail account on a MacBook to be your default email provider.

You can probably also set up your Samsung phone to back up your photos to the MacBook too but don't you simply back them up to a cloud provider already.

You will be required to set up an iTunes account though if you are using a Mac so you could back your photos up to the iCloud if you wish as well.

Thank you, yes I back my photos up to the cloud but I do also like to have them on a computer also. I've had terribke luck over the years with losing photos so now I'm over cautious, saved on phone, computer and the cloud haha. Oh I used to have an iTunes but I can't remember the details and it was about 8 years ago it was last used when i had an iphone , they"ve probably shut it down now, whuxh is a shame because i had bought some dam good music and had loads of photos.
