We have an old-school hifi separates set up in our living room on which we play cds. We have not bought any new ones for years and don't intend to. So for anything newer I have a Sonos speaker in my kitchen which I use with Amazon Music and DH listens to stuff on Youtube (free version) via his pc. For Christmas we bought the 13 and 10 yo DSs a Google Home speaker each and I want to have a more cohesive approach.

I'm planning to get rid of Amazon Prime anyway and am wondering if Spotify is the way to go? Was also wondering about Google Play Music? They are including YouTube Premium for free so I was thinking that might be a good solution for us.

We have a family spotify sub that works v well. Everyone has the app on their phone and can send it to a speaker in whichever room.

I haven't tried any of the others so can't comment.

But loving Spotify. A week into my trial I knew it was going to stay. Love the integration of Spotify, it's everywhere: smart TV's, PS4 etc, it's their second biggest pro.Plus I really like the depth of the music catalog Spotify has, the interface is easy to use, and the radio channels are great.
