Fitbits

Hi, I am interested in fitbits, but they seem quite pricey.
I like the look of things which look like a watch, and would like to be able to swim, cycle as well as occasionally run with it.

I gather it needs gps to be able to log accurately your miles

Has anyone found anything which seems good value, I am prepared to compromise over some things, but this is my first foray into anything similar since I had a pedometer in 2005!

Recommendation would be much appreciated

How about the Withings Move? Haven't personally tried it out but I've heard that it's pretty good for something in its price range.

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can swim with a Fitbit. The Fitbit app allows you to track a run using combined Fitbit data and gps from your phone. Personally I would always run with my phone anyway so I e never felt the need for Fitbit gps.

For a really cheap alternative I had a xaomi mi fit. Great for step counting and sleeps tracking and compatible with Strava for run tracking.

Some of the fitbits can be used in water. I have the Charge 2 and it can't but the Charge 3 and others can.

some fitbits are waterproof so can be used for swimming
you dont need gps to track your miles, only if you want your route saved as a map

Have a look on the cash converters website.

I picked one up (brand new) for £70 rrp on the model I got was £120.

Like pp said not all of them are waterproof though.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I will look into them.
I gave my dd a xiaomi a couple of years ago, and it didn’t seem very accurate and the app didn’t work on her device, so I’m not sure I trust them.

I think cash converters is a great idea. I will look into withings, and probably just forget about swimming.
