Mobile phone signal weirdness

Wonder if anyone can help with this. We've never had a mobile phone signal in our village until last summer when EE installed a new mast. So now we have a signal but none of us (all on EE PAYG phones) have any signal, but my husband's work mobile (on monthly contract) has a full signal! Also we've noticed that house visitors on monthly-paid phones get full signal but people on PAYG have no service at all. I initially thought that maybe the people on monthly contracts have newish phones and that this made a difference, but even new PAYG don't work. I can't believe that being on a monthly contract vs pay as you go could affect the mobile reception? Can it?

No, it shouldn't affect reception. Try swapping the SIM in your husband's work mobile with the one in your handset. See if the reception goes with the SIM. If it doesn't the problem is with your handset.

I have a signal booster from my provider as the signal here is useless. Contact your provider to ask if they do one.
