having to use a different browser to get btinternet email to work

Why on earth will my email a/c suddenly stop functioning in google chrome forcing me to use internet explorer !

When I opened my email a/c it displayed emails but I was unable to use any of the normal functions -search ,delete etc .And then it would only display recent emails .

All ok in IE .

If it is a web based email account then it could mean a few things.

Do you get an error at all?

Chrome no longer supported (highly unlikely).
They didn’t test an update on all browsers (quite likely).
Chrome has updated and it’s no longer compatible eg chrome now thinks the email website is not good enough (bad security, code etc).

TBH, I would gontact your email provider.

Could it be a virus ?

Btinternet is something to do with yahoo, I got an email a few months ago to say something was changing but I can’t remember what and I access my btinternet mail on my phone and iPad through the mail bit.

Sorry I can’t help, but I can confirm something did change.

Have you tried clearing the cache/history and cookies by going to settings and clicking on "clear browsing data".
