I've got a PDAwhich can access internet through my phone etc. Basically wondering how safe bluetooth is, eg; checking emails, selling on ebay etc.

Could try wireless, but heard about the risks as well!

Thanks

Bluetooth is a very low power technology, it is no threat to anyone.
You may be thinking of the wretched BBC programme on the "risks" from PC wireless connections.
The was crap. I define "crap" as the producer apologising for some of the more appalling failures, and even the BBC "science" correspondents attacking it.

As for security risk, this data can be intercepted, but again the lower power makes this pretty hard. The more general problem with Bluetooth is getting the connectivity to work at all, not snooping.

The big risk with any portable computer is that it gets nicked, and then they can do all sorts of bad things.
