Ok, last night I downloaded the photos from the camera.

all ok.

today I tried to do some more but theres a little icon in the taskbar thing that means I can remove the device. It usually comes up once the downlaoding has finsihed.
Today its there as soon as I plug it in

if I click it is says I can safley remove the netgear wireless adapater....

I thried unplugging the wireless thing to see if the download would work and another message came up saying I can safely remove the USB multi storgage device. I clicked all of that to remove it then realised that multi storge blah blah must be the camera itself......

So, how do I get that back and how can I downlaod my photos when its telling me to remove the device before its downloading???

I very much doubt anyone can help but I feel like smashing tp PC to bits ATM.

Hi- mine does that sometimes. Can you not just ignore the message and go onto download your photos. What happens if you turn your camera off and back on? Your PC should see the device and kick off the downloading part...in theory! Alternatively you may be able to copy the photos manually using Explorer.

tried turning it off etc but it didn't work, also because i clicked the thing to remove the multi storgage device(ie camera) its now making a differnt noise when i do plug it in.

the screen that usually comes up so that I cane select the "downlaod" photos bits isn't coming up either, even before I removed the device.

Sorry for what might be a silly question-did you shutdown the PC last night? If not, might be an idea and then do a restart?

SconesandMajesticSandwiches · 29/06/2007 12:50

Have you unplugged the camera and plugged it back in.

If you have told the PC you are going to remove it it shuts it down. On mine it detects the camera when I plug it back in. Then go to "My computer" and find the "mass storage device on the list

Does this mean we don't get any more photos of the cutest boy in the world?

LadyTophamHatt · 29/06/2007 12:56

yes, I shut it all down last night.

just going to try to manually find it under my computer....back in a mo.
