Best way to put parental controls on a PC?

Hello, I wondered if someone could recommend some software?
I tried setting the parental controls to block porn, phishing and social media/dating sites through our Sky broadband account but when I tested it (googled porn with the safe search off) it definitely didnt seem to have made any difference!

Qustodio is good, you can set it to block whatever you like

Depending on the age direct supervision is the only thing that will work.

It is easy to get around most parental controls either inadvertently or deliberately...
