Will I be able to get one cheaper in the sales do you think?

Which series/model do you have?

What do you use it for?

I've got a series 2 which works fine for me.

I use it for the daily activity trackers, recording walks, runs, yoga etc

It has the usual calendar, reminders, notifications from messenger, text messages, FB etc.

If you use the iPhone map for directions it displays on the watch and vibrates when you're coming to turnings (only really useful for walking places rather than driving)

You can use it as a remote to take photos on your iPhone.

You can play music directly from the watch to Bluetooth headphones or use it as a remote for music/videos playing on phone.

You can reply to text messages with set responses at a touch or use the screen to write a reply (which isn't as difficult as I thought it would be).

Records my heart rate, records my sleep and it automatically counts laps in a swimming pool (you just tell it how long the pool is).

Some things only work in conjunction with your iPhone in Bluetooth range. Other things work solo.

I've got applepay set up so I can pay for things under £30 without needing my wallet. You do need to make sure you've set a secure password.

And it tells the time. 😀

I love it.

I have the new one. Use it for everything, best thing I've ever bought Smile

I've just bought the new one, after having had the original one for nearly 4 years. Love it, especially the Apple Pay and step counter. My new one doesn't need my phone to connect to the internet.

The activity rings have boosted my exercise. The speech recognition is good so you can speak into it for text messages. Also use it for the weather which I have on my home screen. If you’re on a long drive, ‘hey Siri, how long to home from here’ tells you what the traffic is like and how long it will take.

But the thing I use most is that you can use it to ping your phone to find where you’ve put it down. I use it to check I’ve got my phone when leaving the house!

I've got one but without it's own sim card. I'm going to get on in January when i renew my contract though.

Activity tracker is good and motivating.

Heart rate monitor is interesting and you can also see it improving the more you exercise. (Also was a giveaway before i got a positive pregnancy test)

Text feature is good

Has a torch on it, timers, stopwatches etc.

Downsides, not as smart as a nice wrist watch i think, but if you don't wear it for a day, you lose your 'streak' for meeting your daily goals on successive day.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to go for it!
