Hi there! In desperation, before I have to wipe it. Confiscated her phone & didn't want her to have access until I'd checked it. Now it's asking for a passcode & the one she had been using won't work!!! TYIA.

How old is your daughter

Omgineedanamechange · 21/12/2018 06:44

You won’t be able to wipe it without the passcode

Hwory · 21/12/2018 06:52

Surely you just keep it until she gives you the passcode?

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 21/12/2018 06:56

My fingerprint is registered on DS's phone, so the passcode is irrelevant. Can you do that?

Until you can I'd do what Hwory said!

iMatter · 21/12/2018 07:01

I agree with others.

Keep it until she tells you the password.

How old is DD? If she is 11, confiscate until you are happy ; if she is 15 , have a conversation.

Do t think you can turn passcodes off. You certainly can't do anything as big as wiping it without one.

It's a really bad idea for a phone to not have a passcode on it, surely? I realise you must have some reason to want to be able to monitor her phone, but having no code on it so that anyone can access it is not a good solution.
