I received an email about 15 mins ago. Here's what it said

I've put stars instead of the names because they are my name and the senders name.
My first thought is that it's a virus as it contains a link. The freaky thing is though, is that the sender's name is my mum's maiden name. Which she has not used in about 21 years, and has never used for anything online. I showed her the email and she is also a bit freaked. The sender's email is not one I recognise and also if I Google it, it comes up with a bunch of Spanish shit.
Should I be worried that this 'person or whatever it is has information about my life? Or shoukd I just ignore it and delete? I haven't pressed the link or anything in the email.

Sounds like spam. I would delete without clicking link.

I received one quite similar

Its not the first time iv received one like this. It says its from my sister. Shes also received a couple saying its from me. Neither of us have clicked the link we've just deleted them. Guessing its spam.

Ok thanks for replying. It just freaked me out as it was my mum's maiden name. She married my dad, then 10 years later she chanhe d her name by deed poll to something else. If it was her name she was using now or the one previous to this it wouldn't have got my attention so much. I'll just deleted it then. Thanks guys.

They've probably got information harvested from Facebook or somewhere like that. That's the price you pay for social networking.
