iPhone 7 - can’t hear a bloody thing!

A couple of days ago I noticed that I just can’t hear when people call me on my mobile - it’s as if they are down a hole but they can hear me fine.

I remember this happening with my old phone when there was a software update but I can’t remember how i fixed it. Dr google is no help!

Anyone got any bright ideas?

Back it up, then restore it. Might help.

I tried that but it didn’t make any difference.

Have you tried cleaning the phone as a build up of dust and dirt can make a significant difference?

How does it sound if you connect headphones or player through the built in loud speaker?

Get a needle and clear the holes at the bottom, I did it with mine recently couldn't believe how much dust there was!
