Huawei - do you have one?

After nearly 3 years I'm quite tired of my Samsung S7 and the battery, camera etc is having problems (after being repaired twice already).

I bit the bullet and just ordered the new Hauwei Mate 20 Pro (I still have to double check how to spell the bloody name of it).

Do any of you have it? How are you finding it? Smile

I don't have a P20 I have one of the cheaper models (and it really was cheap, like £150 outright on a special offer) and it's bloody brilliant. I wouldn't buy a Samsung or iPhone now.

I've got the twilight one, but to be honest you don't really even see the effect as I've put a clear case on it!

I've upgraded and getting a P20 Pro twilight on Monday, I have a 6s atm. Is it easy to switch between the 2 operating systems? I've done so much research about Huawei and comparisons and the phone sounds amazing.

I have a Huawei after having Samsung for years. I love it, battery life is so much better than Samsung.

I swapped from a series of Samsungs to a P20 Pro a few months ago and it's a really great phone. Battery life is bloody bonkers on it - I can be on it a lot during the day and it's still rocking at above 75% by the evening, compared to my S7 which spent all the time I was at home sat on a charge pad to try to eek out a day's use by the time the contract on it was up (the increasing crapness of Samsung batteries was why I switched) - although obviously I'm comparing a 2 year old phone with a new one on that.

Mine's the twilight one (reminds me of that Nissan car paint job from a few years ago) but I never don't have a case on my phones with the kids I have - you can still see it through the clear phone case I've got on it though.

I'm considering a P10 Pro - refurbed one from Mazuma. Do any of you know if the P10 is worth £239 second hand? Its the 128gb one.

Interesting. I was looking to switch to Samsung after a life of Iphones but Huawei seems good too now!

thenightsky · 23/11/2018 09:48

I was going to switch to Samsung too (from HTC) but this thread has made me change my mind.
I've had 2 HTCs and they've both died a death in about 2 years.

moonlight1705 · 23/11/2018 09:49

Yes, they are brilliant - I have a P9 (I think) so its coming to the end of the contract soon and I will definitely be getting another Huawei next time.

The camera is much better than my DH's iphone and gives some lovely photos.

This is probably going to sound like a stupid question but how do the apps work compared to iPhone? I mostly use Apple Music and BBC radio player, are they available still? My iPhone is very old now but I begrudge forking out loads of money for a newer, although not even newest one.

cropcirclesinthefields · 23/11/2018 13:47

Apple Music is available on play store as I use that a lot for music and don't want to loose it. Bbc is on the store too.
