Which would you recommend for a teacher who uses word processing (sometimes big documents) , edits images (cartoon strips, photos, green screen films etc) and used Internet A LOT?
Budget fairly limited! Has anybody made the switch to a chromebook? Any advice or opinions welcome Smile

If you're used to using Microsoft office for processing documents and are fairly set on continuing with that then there are some great budget windows pcs out there eg by hp.
Chromebooks may be a good option if you want something with a slightly higher build quality for the price however the software may turn out to feel extremely limiting. There is virtually no functionality at all if you don't have a WiFi connection so if you like to work for example on the train or when out and about that might not work for you. You would also be limited to using Google Chrome based apps for everything including word processing. The best way to see how this would work for you would be to use chrome exclusively on your current device for a while, using their apps for documents and anything else you do regularly. If this doesn't click then a Chromebook is definitely for you.
Honestly I would suggest that given the great budget windows options it might be easier to stay with what you know. Good luck

Is definitely not for you.
My mistake

Thank you for replying! I have WiFi access in 90% of the places I usually work and can share my 4G connection from my phone when I don't. I have been trying to use Google docs, slides and classroom but I don't think I'm ready to leave Windows yet-I forgot how long it takes to get used to new software! I shall look for a Windows pc.
