Do I have to download software or convert the tracks into a different format? I don't know where to start.

thanks.

You need to put iTunes onto your computer. This should have come with your iPod.

I have itunes. So if I just put a cd in my drive, will the cd show up on itunes and then can be dragged into my ipod folder?

I tried dragging some music into my ipod earlier which is on my computer but not purchased from itunes, used itunes to try and it wouldn't let me. Wads worried I coldn't put any music on unless I bought it again on itunes.

You shouldn't have to convert them.
