How to make a ringtone on iPhone?

I’ve downloaded something to my phone and I’d like to make it my ringtone but I don’t have a clue how! It’s currently in my files, how do I get it to the ringtone bit?

Oh I see what you mean. Try opening the mp3 to see if you are able to save it. You can get apps to convert music into ringtones. I've done it but can't remember which one it was. Have a look in your App Store. I have an iPhone and it was a bit tricky but I think it's easier on other phones.
