Do I need to inform my ISP that I'm moving house?

I've got broadband (AOL) for internet and BT for phone line. Do I need to inform AOL that I'm moving, or simply take the modem with me to the new address?

And as I'm moving to America, am I obliged to change to AOL US, or can I keep my AOL UK account. (Don't imagine a UK modem will work in America, but unsure if accessing UK account from there will be possible/exorbitant.)

As I type this, I realise it's a fairly specific question that will probaby require me to endure their hellish customer service lines....but, you never know what M'netters might be able to help with!

yes, you need to inform them as they'll have to switch you on on the new line.

you'll almost definately have to close the account and open another and you definately won't be able to use aol uk. But I suggest you go for someone other than aol anyway...

Thanks SenoraP. I suspect you're right.
