Printed photos to computer

Can anyone help me please? If I've got some printed 6x4 photos and need a digital copy in order to get a canvas print of it, how do I go about this without affecting the quality of the image ?

You have to scan them at the highest resolution the scanner will allow, and there will be some unavoidable loss of quality. If the canvas print isn't huge it may not be noticeable.

If you don't have access to a scanner find a photo lab that does work for photographers and they will have one. Lots of photographers will have one too.

I have an HP all in one printer, scanner and copier that will let me scan at up to 600 DPI, which is fine for most purposes.
