Deleting backup from iPhone

Back up on my iPhone is nearly 10Gb! Please tell me the pros and cons of deleting. The most precious thing on my iPhone is my photos and vids and I've downloaded them safely to my PC. Thanks.

Do you mean you backup your phone to iCloud and it's nearly 10GB?

Personally I treat my phone like I used to treat my camera. I take photos, I download photos to my PC (and back them up there) and then deleted them from the phone.

The disadvantage of that deletion is that the backup becomes your responsibility. If your computer were to go boom or your house to burn down where would your photos be?

The advantage of backing up to iCloud is that the backup remains Apple's responsibility. No matter what happened to your property it should be safe.
