Why won't video files stream properly on my laptop?

The audio streams fine but the picture freezes after about 30 seconds. Any ideas?

What programme are you watching it on? If it's WMP you might want to download the update. Also if you are on wireless broadband it could just be dropouts in the signal.

WMMC - It is my wedding DVD files so not wireless related. Am using WMP (although have also downloaded Realplayer and Quicktime too). Am trying to edit it in Windows Movie Maker.

I use VLC player as it seems to play anything!
