Two Apple questions! Apple ID and iPhoto

Hi, fairly specific questions which the internet rounds up into other stuff...

1. I share an Apple ID with my soon to be Ex- it's useful because we can schedule kids things in there and everyone has visibility, but obviously it means I don't really want to put my personal events in there as he'd be questioning everything. Also, we have shared apps and music etc etc... so can I change Apple ID and retain the shared calendar feature somehow? I understand apps will stay on the phone but I won't be able to update them anymore... annoying but I reckon I can handle it!

1. Ex and I have a Mac (desktop) and he's locked it in the spare room so I can't access it (v long story ) anyway, when I get access can I download all the photos to an external hard fairly efficiently?

1. I think you will have to create a new Apple id. You can create a new calendar easily, but I understand he will have the same rights as he and you are seen as the same person so can see your input.

2. Yes, but if you scroll down you will see this question “How do I select ALL my photos on my icloud and download them onto a hardrive” which may help.

You can download everything on your phone and delete everything remotely from his mac too if you want. Just call the support team and they will help you.

We don't have anything on the cloud, it's all on the hard drive if the Mac- still the same principles?

Check the cloud anyway. If not and if hes being funny over access I would just take the hit and tell Apple my mac was stolen and to wipe it to factory settings. They can do this.

I’m sure you can add the shared account to your calendar, but have a different Apple ID as your main account. Just go into settings - accounts and add the shared account in there. You would be better off creating a new Apple ID

That way your main account is all yours but you can still access the shared calendar
