Photos on icloud

How do I actually see them? I have upped my iCloud storage so I know they are there and saved, but want to check I can see them before I delete them off my iPad to free up storage.
I’ve googled it, but it just seems to show me how to get to icloud info, not the actual content iyswim.
Please help, this is a boring way to spend bank holiday weekend...

I’m not sure you do delete them, I think that optimised thing keeps them and when you open them they come from iCloud, I do find the whole iCloud and photos thing a bit of a mystery, hopefully someone will come on and explain it better.

I've been wondering the same recently, as my storage is full. I have searched online how to access the iCloud but haven't found a satisfactory answer. The only thing I can see is that you have to delete photos manually from whatever device you're using. Would the same apply to emails, documents etc too? I hope someone with more knowledge comes along to help! Thank you for posting this OP

You can only seem to access the iCloud on a computer or laptop though it is limited not a device or phone, you may be able to do more there.
